I graduated in December 2001 from Midwestern State University with a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies, and I graduated from Midwestern State in December 2016 with a Masters in Education, Reading Specialist.
I have taught since the 2002/2003 school year, and this will be my 5th year at Midway. My first four years were spent teaching 5th grade, and this year I will be teaching 2nd grade.
I have been married to my wonderful husband, David, since August of 2001. He is a native of Muenster, TX and his mother still lives there. My parents live in Bowie, and my brother and his family live in College Station, TX. David and I love living out here in the quiet of the country. We have a few cows, my two horses, three dogs, one barn cat (who thinks he’s a dog), and several chickens.
My hobbies include running and riding horses; I also love to read and write and enjoy doing these things when not teaching. (Although riding horses is a lot like teaching, just different students!) I love going anywhere with David and we like going to the mountains of Wyoming and Montana as well as down the road to Ft. Worth or Oklahoma City from time to time. Sitting outside on our own porch is pretty great too!
