I am beginning my 2^nd year at Midway.  I teach all secondary social studies classes.

Prior to coming to Midway I taught at Bright Ideas Charter School.  While there I taught High School history, English I, and 3^rd grade ELA.

I also taught in Wichita Falls for 6 years.

I got married on October 15, 1983 to Robert McGarry.  We have 2 children; Robert Cole (29) and Shawna Lynn (26). Both of our children are college educated.  Our son is a deputy with Wichita County Sheriff’s Office as is my husband.  Rob is currently a sergeant in the Criminal Investigations Division.  Our daughter is a LVN.  Both graduated from Iowa Park High School. 

Anyone that has ever been in my classroom knows that I am very proud of my children and their accomplishments.  I have their pictures prominently displayed.  I am also a proud parent of 3 furbabies.  Haylee Rae is my 8 year old Australian Shepherd.  She is a red merle and she definitely knows that she is gorgeous.  I also have twin calico cats.  Kimber Denae lives in our house and keeps all of us in line.  Sig Renae lives next door in our gym. I am an avid sports fan.  I love football, baseball, hockey, NASCAR and bullriding.  Again, you only need to step into my classroom to know my loves.  Football is all about the Dallas Cowboys.  My son and I have a standing date each year to attend at least one Cowboys game.  Baseball and hockey is all about the boys from Boston.  As a family we go to see the Red Sox every year when they play the Rangers and the Bruins when they play the Stars.  I enjoy watching NASCAR and NHRA.  My favorite drivers are Tony Stewart, Tony Schumacher, Fast Jack Beckman and Ron Capps.

I am very fortunate to still have both of my parents and I spend as much time with them as possible.  Of course, it helps that they live next door!
